Miami Beach 100 Fashion Part 2

Hi Mannequins! Welcome to Part 2 of our Miami Beach 100 post.

To commemorate the Miami Beach Centennial Celebration, The Mannequin Party and South Beach-based photographer extraordinaire Jipsy teamed up to create a men’s spring/summer fashion editorial paying homage to Miami Beach and a few of its iconic locations.

The rest of the outfits from the Miami Beach 100 photo series are a mix of classic and trendy looks for a stroll down Ocean Drive or a much-needed dip in the Atlantic Ocean. It does feel great to play tourist every once in a while…

I played up my ‘dark’ side with a vintage DarkHorse tee featuring a comic style print of an image from Madonna’s infamous SEX book shot in Miami during the ‘90s (Hi Naomi!). I paired it with a pair of black short swim trunks from Zara with white side piping (the newly opened store on Lincoln Rd. is impressive). The classic two-strap sandals are obviously by Birkenstock which I thought furthered the look’s ‘90s theme (they were huge when I was in high school and are currently enjoying a nice comeback). Sunglasses by H&M.

Peach dress shirt by Perry Ellis. Paisley print swim shorts by Ted Baker. I love the little details including the embroidered lobster…

“Test the waters of outgoing style with FIFTON. Whether on home shores or somewhere a touch more exotic, Ted’s geometric paisley print swim shorts are an effortless way to bring real flair to underwater wear.”

The last look is meant to POP! Bright blue shorts by Diesel with a Reborn Peru tank top featuring British supermodel Kate Moss a la Ziggy Stardust/David Bowie. I dressed the casual beach outfit with a blood red, lightweight jacket by American Apparel. The jacket brings out the tank’s Ziggy red and also makes it easy to stand out from the crowded streets of Ocean Drive. Who wants to blend in anyway?!
