WELCOME TO PARADISE!

MIAMI BEACH TURNS 100 YEARS OLD AND SHE IS LOOKING AS FAB AS EVER!

Miami Beach has always had a really special space in my heart. When my family moved to Miami in the early ‘90s, I couldn’t get enough of the beaches and stunning views. As I grew up, I was drawn to the city’s bohemian vibe and the diverse groups of people that called, and continue to call, this beautiful island city their home. It’s been incredible to see how much the city has grown over the past 20 plus years. And even though I don’t necessarily live on Miami Beach, I am always there – its vibrant energy is undeniably magnetic. Considered to be the crown jewel of Miami, Miami Beach certainly lives up to its “American Riviera” moniker with its year-round fun in the sun, cultural scene, fashion and shopping, fine dining, Art Deco gems, and world-class entertainment. This place truly is paradise!

In true form, the City of Miami Beach has planned a series of exciting events culminating tomorrow in an all-day music festival in South Beach starring superstars Andrea Bocelli, Barry Gibb and the Queen of Miami (aka my unofficial tía) – Gloria Estefan. Check out www.miamibeach100.com for more info.

To commemorate the Miami Beach Centennial Celebration, The Mannequin Party and South Beach-based photographer extraordinaire Jipsy teamed up to create a men’s spring/summer fashion editorial paying homage to Miami Beach and a few of its iconic locations.

This light blue Oxford suit (blazer and trousers) by Purificación García is perfect for looking chic in hot climates due to its lightweight, breathable fabric. The color blocked button-up shirt, polka dot pocket squarebelt and watch are also from the same brand. I fell in love with the Spanish fashion house last month during a meet-and-greet event with the designer (Puri is a doll by the way). Check out the only Purificación García U.S. location at the Village of Merrick Park.
